So I've just booted upwards my PSP Become for the offset time in ages and I tin can't work out how to download my games now! I signed into the store but it'southward empty and asked me to go to the website.

I did that and signed in but how does that allow me to get games on my actual device?

Do I have to go the CFW road now? (I'd rather non, sounds like a bit of a job and I don't care about playing old Mega Drive games on my tiny PSP.)

Taking a wild guess that's it's now only possible via PC or PS3.

That's been taken offline for a few years at present. The Media Go app has even been removed from the site.
I believe the only manner to do it is either via console or by going to your download list on the PSP/Go.

Edit: hither y'all go

HA HA HA. Welcome to Sony land where you volition endure if you lot want to download a game you bought a long time ago.

It's the same on Vita, past the style. No search. Simply at least the shop is notwithstanding online!

  • #11
You have to practise download them via the Download Listing on your PSP. Kick up the Shop, navigate to the peak right corner of the screen where y'all can find your Downloads.
You won't be able to filter your platforms though, and then the listing might exist full of PS3 games you bought.

And what is wrong with digital future? Y'all can still download your content for PSP.
VC is Nintendo'due south error, nada to exercise with digital future or this thread
  • #xv
This is why I never bought digital PSP games. I have a PSP Get, only I got it after I had my launch PSP. Both have CFWs on them. I would purposefully purchase UMD games even after I got my go, so I could rip them on my launch PSP, then move them to the Go. I bought the Get specifically to act as a PSP console, with the dock with tv-out. That'due south how I'm able to play several games that were never digitally released on my Get, similar the Mega Homo 10 remake.

I know you said yous didn't want to use CFW, merely much like resorting to a crack for a game whose DRM authentication server has since gone down, you shouldn't feel whatever moral short coming if you resort to that. Yous paid for those games, it'due south not your fault sony no longer has them available to grab online anymore. Exercise what yous have to do, IMO. I wouldn't have whatsoever thought where to discover PSP rips, though, sad.

Plus you could back those up pretty easily by just copying the SD bill of fare. Information technology'south tied to your console, merely so long as you lot don't replace your Wii, yous're fine.

Technically you can support PSP games also - on PS3 and even on PC, through media app:
Media Become can likewise purchase, backup, and restore PlayStation Portable (PSP) and PlayStation Vita (PS Vita) games and other content
  • #21
Yep, PS Store Download List should work.

Technically you lot can back up PSP games too - on PS3 and fifty-fifty on PC, through media app:

But they don't offer media get anymore. You don't need any external application to practice that with wii SD cards, you tin just pop them onto your computer and clone the card.

...it'south a 16 year old device. PSP Go is 11 years old. Why the fuck would it still have proper support? Forcing companies to back up products indefinitely by law would exist crazy. They as well can however get games on it, information technology'due south merely a pain.

Illegal? Get the fuck outta here

KastuśKalinoŭski

You withal can download and install information technology (fifty-fifty stripped down version from Mac notwithstanding working - it'south chosen CMA). Plus, as I mentioned, you also can use PS3 for backups. And so it's two options vs only 1 on Wii.

Not to mention Download List should still work on PSP.

No updates, merely it still works. Aforementioned for CMA for Mac. You lot can even use it to backup Vita games (non just PSP).
  • #26
So it's two options vs only 1 on Wii.

...I can copy my Wii SD cards on any mac, linux, windows, or even ARM calculator, including a raspberry pi and my android phone. Y'all're touting an awarding, that has been officially retired, that can merely run on windows, as being less restrictive than a file system that is office of the international standards organization list (fat32, ISO9293)? NOPE. Literally annihilation that tin re-create a fat32 file system can re-create those cards, even things like a windows 98 computer released decades before the wii even existed.

Is there anywhere that I tin can scan through my library broken down by platform? I'g thinking I could apply that to find whatsoever game I want, then only use the engagement stamp on the PSP download list to at least approximate where it would be on the list!

Crazy that they've made this such a chore...

edit: too, what'southward this media Go app, sounds similar it could be simply the ticket

Get the PSDLE browser extension. Gives you a much more robust download list with sorting/filtering, including by platform.

Sony doesn't offer information technology anymore, when you get to download it, this is what you lot get:

Media Go - Sony Network Entertainment

Media Go software connects and enhances your digital entertainment earth. Music, movies, Television shows, podcasts, games, photos, and more.

The guy is proverb "it all the same works"

yeah, if you already accept it.

It's like you've forgotten that this topic is about a guy trying to go his games back that he doesn't accept a copy of anymore. Hence, if you already have it.
It seems you as well. Hither's solution that was already posted here:
You have to do download them via the Download List on your PSP. Boot up the Store, navigate to the tiptop right corner of the screen where yous can discover your Downloads.
You won't exist able to filter your platforms though, and so the listing might be full of PS3 games you bought.

Being able to download your bought games should be the minimum. It's non like there isn't a PSN or Nintendo Online structure anyway.

If a company goes out of business organisation, too bad. I can see why their online services won't be available anymore.

Simply both Sony and Nintendo should be able to maintain their old download platforms in a minimum state where y'all can access your bought products. No excuses for that. I am not talking nearly full support where you tin can however buy stuff.

Espana. Correct before writing my reply I was redownloading Excitebike Globe Tour on the vWii mode on my Wii U

All-time you can do is to test it past yourself, merely once I finish walking my dog I tin post a time stamped photograph of the shop working and downloading if yous want

KastuśKalinoŭski

So, to summarize.

Downloading already purchased games:

  • Directly on PSP through PSP Download Listing
  • via PS3

For backups:
  • Media Go (Windows)/CMA (Mac)
  • PS3
  • Memory Sticks
mausterhunter
  • #44
You tin still download games directly via the download list even though the store is gone.

Yeah, but it's just a huge long list of everything ever downloaded on PS3 and PSP, it's just not viable to trawl all the way through that list each time, (there are around 400-500 things on my list, I don't even recognise virtually of it which is a fleck weird...)

  • #47
It'southward been mentioned merely Nintendo still maintains the Wii Shop and DSi Shop channels for the purposes of redownloading and transferring games (to other hardware). Nintendo has cautioned these storefronts won't be maintained indefinitely but they'll announce ahead of time when these services will be airtight (for reference i.5 years warning was given on the Wii Store ending purchases).

DSiWare is also supported directly on the 3DS eShop and you can withal buy games in that location.

Yes install it on Chrome (I call up it's on Firefox too) and y'all just click the icon, it scans everything yous've ever bought and so you can search by title, filter by platform, etc. Information technology's essential if yous own more than similar l games lol
